Avionics and Electrical systems engineering is one of the most interesting, dynamic and broad areas within aircraft design. The role of an Avionics and Electrical Engineer is to develop electrical power generation and distribution, communication, navigation, automatic flight control, lighting, in flight entertainment and all other systems that rely on electronics to ensure flight safety and operational requirements. As an avionics systems engineer at Pilatus, you will be responsible for the lifecycle of your system, from concept all the way to in-service, obviously covering design, test and certification. You will therefore be in direct contact with suppliers, aviation authorities and customers, but also with other areas of knowledge within the company related to engineering, supply chain, production and business. Besides the technical challenge of developing complex systems you will also be able to put your team work and project management skills in practice and be rewarded with the knowledge that your work is flying all over the world in its own class, the Pilatus class!

Our Human Resources department at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. is in charge for the whole employee lifecycle in collaboration with the line managers. We are experts in hiring, supporting and developing our workforce. This includes the installation, development and running of leadership tools and payrolling. Our typical functions are HR Manager, HR Recruiter, Payrolling Specialist, Personnel Development Specialist, HR Project Leader, HR Administrator, Time and Absence Management Specialist and Coordinator Health Care Management.

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Pilatus, you will be responsible for the design, development and integration of complex mechanical systems such as engines, flight controls, landing gear, fuel systems, ice and rain protection, etc.
You will manage and lead projects from concept to certification and entry into service, work in multi-disciplinary teams, perform simulations and analyses, define and perform system tests and ensure compliance with applicable system performance, safety and reliability requirements and aerospace regulations.

The GBTS Software team at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. manages the software for all the Ground Based Training Systems such as Flight Simulator and Computer Based Training. The team develops the codebase using different technologies and coding languages such as C++, JavaScript, Java.
The team manages the entire product software lifecycle in accordance with ISO/IEC 12207, from the requirements definition to the software design, implementation, and up to the release of the software to the end customer.
The team also performs integration of the software components with the hardware and with 3rd party software together with the System Engineering and Hardware teams.
The team also supports the System Engineering team throughout the product lifecycle with design reviews, Verification and Validation activities, software installation and customer user training.
The teams works using Agile techniques maximizing team communication through Sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings. Team cooperation is also achieved by performing code reviews amongst the team members.

The RAM department at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. has the complete overview of all the Aircraft produced throughout all its life. 
The department is the bridge between the design phases in engineering and the in-service usage.
Its main scope is to reflect the in-service experience into product improvements.
The main responsibilities of the team are to define the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability requirements during the design; control them and monitor their effectiveness during the in-service operations. 
The RAM department is also responsible to develop data driven algorithms to reduce the aircraft on-ground time by increasing the fault detectability and isolation.
As part of the daily activities, our department performs Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, MSG-3 Analysis, MTA and Reliability investigations.

The Engineering Project Management is responsible for the overall execution of complex strategic projects within Pilatus. We have full accountability for the complete programme development life cycle, including: requirements management, overall design management, schedule and cost controlling. We are cross functional leaders that work with all areas within Pilatus, including: Production, Sales and Marketing, Customer Support, Maintenance and Fabrication. We will generally work on multi-year projects and guide the project from initial concept development/project approval through to certification and subsequent entry into service of the new product.

The mission within the Customer Support team at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. is simple: Customer First. From taking delivery of the aircraft, to technical support (if required), or to the point where the authorized Maintenance-Facility needs to order spare parts, the global team of specialists is there for you… 24/7/365.

Pilatus Ltd. Engineering has many years of experience in the development of aircraft structures and has proven its success with the prosperous aircrafts PC-7, PC-9, PC-21, PC-6, PC-12 and PC-24. The Pilatus Airframe Engineering contains the Airframe Design and Structural Engineering departments, which work closely together.

The Airframe Design department develops innovative lightweight design solution for aircraft structures and system integration in cooperation with specialist from various teams. The focus is on modelling 3D parts and assemblies by using the latest CAD software and creating drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and installation. During the development phase, the team is in very close exchange with the prototype and experimental shop.

Pilatus Ltd. Engineering has many years of experience in the development of aircraft structures and has proven its success with the prosperous aircrafts PC-7, PC-9, PC-21, PC-6, PC-12 and PC-24. The Pilatus Airframe Engineering contains the Structural Engineering and Design departments, which work closely together.

The Structural Engineering department is responsible for analyzing and demonstrating the structural integrity against various requirements. The simulation of the limit and fatigue strength is mainly performed by state-of-the-art Finite Element Models (FEM) and a library of standard and internally developed methods and tools which are validated by testing. The department is in frequent interaction with the flight physic department who is providing the load cases.
